A lively group of African online stars lit up Kenya’s number 1 talk show tonight. Oga Obinna hosted the “Visa Boys” on Obinna Show Live. The guests included Nigerian comedian Doctall Kingsley and South Sudanese pranksters Major Boy and Pilipili. .
The show started with fun talk about food. The group debated chapati from Kenya against “Mutura,” a popular street snack in other African countries. Laughter filled the room. Then, they got serious about their paths to fame.
Doctall Kingsley shared his start in comedy. He began making videos five years ago during the COVID lockdowns. He used only an old iPhone 6s. One of his big hits mocked people who pay pastors for blessings. “Jesus never charged money,” he said with a grin. That video spread fast across Africa. But success came slow. Doctall once did stand-up shows for free.
Major Boy and Pilipili told even wilder stories. The duo makes prank videos on TikTok. One clip got 59 million views in just two hours. Pilipili grew up in a refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya. Later, he moved to Australia on a visa. That’s how they got the name “Visa Boys.” Their pranks have caused real trouble. Once, a fake robbery skit brought police to the scene. Another prank ended a couple’s relationship by mistake. “Always check the video first,” Major Boy joked.
The group talked about bigger ideas too. They want African creators to collaborate more. “Kenyans love Tanzanian songs,” Oga Obinna noted. “Why not support our own artists?” They plan a big event on November 27 at Southfield Mall in Nairobi. It will feature musicians such as Jzyno and Davido who is yet to confirm.
Viewers on social media call the show a hit. One fan wrote, “This is real African hustle.” The episode blends big laughs with honest advice for anyone chasing online fame. You can watch it now on YouTube.
